Hello and welcome!

Thank you for visiting the Adams 12 GT Parents Group website.  Our group was founded and is run by volunteer parents of gifted and talented students in the Adams 12 school district.  Our mission is to provide resources, education, enrichment, and advocacy for Adams 12 GT families.

Our new website is still under construction but please take a look around and explore the many ways to get involved with your student's education!  While we are in the process of migrating websites, you can still access our full collection of resources at our original site

Middle School Madness - November 7, 2025

Our popular event for middle school students, Middle School Madness, is coming up on Friday, November 7 at 6:15pm.   Small teams of students will race the clock and other teams in this crazy and chaotic combination of Minute-to-Win-It and Great Race inspired challenges, including mindbenders, memory games, and much more!  Prizes will be awarded to winning team members.  You can find more information and register when it opens on Tuesday, October 21 on our EVENT PAGE.

Our ability to offer and run these events depends on our amazing volunteers.  If you are a parent or high school student who would like to join in the fun by helping to supervise one of the challenges, please consider signing up HERE to help.  As a token of our appreciation, volunteers who sign up by Oct. 18 will receive priority registration for their MS student.  Thank you!

GT Parent Forum: ALPs

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our GT Parent Forum where we learned about Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) from the Director of Adams 12 Advanced Academic and Gifted Services, Dr. Lynn Saltzgaver, and discussed practical parent approaches to the ALP.  We had a great turnout and had some wonderful discussions.  We've shared some resources from the meeting below.  For those interested in applying for one of our grants to support in-school programming, please see the information in the Grant Program section on this page.
